Environmental and Natural Resource Law
The attorneys of Montgomery & Interpreter, PLC, work with Tribal clients to protect their Tribal resources and develop their own environmental laws and programs.
In addition, we provide the following Tribal Environmental and Natural Resource services:
- National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
- Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act, including preparing all necessary documents for “treated as a state” (TAS) status
- Hazardous Materials and Contamination, including CERCLA, Natural Resources Damage Assessments and litigation
- Endangered Species Act issues, including defending against critical habitat designations on the Reservation, preparing management plans, and Section 7 consultations

- Environmental permitting and compliance
