Our Government Relations team has a long history of working in Indian country in the areas of Tribal Affairs, Business, Water, Renewable Energy, Environmental and Natural Resources, Land Use Policy and Outdoor Recreation.
We understand the political trends affecting our client’s interests and closely track how these trends and other current events can be leveraged to meet our clients’ objectives.
By working closely with our clients and relying on our extensive experience in Indian Country and with federal and state entities, our government relations team is able to quickly develop and implement an advocacy plan designed to successfully accomplish our client’s goals through actions designed to:
- Increase awareness about our client and their needs with decision-makers.
- Draft, monitor and lobby for legislation favorable to our client’s goals or oppose legislation that is harmful to our client’s interests.
- Prepare briefing books, talking points, fact sheets, and other presentation materials that effectively convey our client’s position on issues and legislation.
- Build coalitions of like-minded stakeholders to develop and implement a common strategy or approach designed to meet our client’s need.
- Prepare written and oral testimony and attend legislative and regulatory hearings to advocate for our clients interests and to negotiate favorable outcomes.
